Term and Condition Export and Import

Delivery Responsibility:

We take on the responsibility of collecting your parcels from where you give them to us and making sure they reach their intended destination safely and on time. You can count on us to handle this important task.

Delivery Times:

Our goal is to get your parcels to you promptly. However, some factors can sometimes cause slight delays, such as the distance your parcel needs to travel or unusual weather conditions. Despite these challenges, rest assured that we are dedicated to delivering your parcels as quickly as possible.

Packaging Requirements:

It's vital to pack your parcels properly to ensure their safety during the journey. We can provide you with helpful guidelines on how to securely pack your items, so they arrive in the best possible condition.

Tracking Services:

We offer a convenient tracking service that allows you to monitor the whereabouts of your parcels. You will receive a unique code or number that you can enter on our website or app. This will enable you to keep an eye on the progress of your parcels, giving you peace of mind.

Prohibited Items:

Undeliverable Parcels:

We want to ensure the smooth delivery of your parcels, and to achieve this, there are certain items that J.P EXPRESS cannot accept for carriage. It is the customer's responsibility to accurately describe the shipment on the air waybill and ensure that no prohibited materials are delivered to J.P EXPRESS. We will keep you informed about specific types of materials that we cannot accept for carriage.

Additionally, we will not carry items that are prohibited by any applicable law, regulation, or the state or local government of any country from, to, or through which the parcel may be carried. Some examples of prohibited items include: 1. Firearms, 2. Bullion, 3. Works of Art, 4. Negotiable instruments in bearer form, 5. Lewd or obscene materials, 6. Hazardous or combustible materials, 7. Industrial carbons and diamonds, 8. Gold jewelry, 9. Precious metals, 10. Precious stones, 11. Currency, 12. Stamps, 13. Deeds, 14. Cashier’s cheques,  15. Money orders, 16. Traveler’s Cheques, 17. Antiques, 18. Plants, 19. Animals.

To avoid any issues with the delivery of your parcels, please make sure that your shipment does not include any materials that fall under these categories. If such items are found in your parcel, we may not be able to deliver it, and additional actions may be required as per our policies. It's important to be aware of these restrictions and guidelines to ensure a smooth shipping experience with J.P EXPRESS. Service Limitations:

While we strive to provide our services to as many locations as possible, there may be certain places we cannot reach, or where it may take longer to deliver. We will always inform you if your location falls into this category.

Additional Services:

Claims Procedure:

If you ever need to make a claim about your parcel, you must send it to the nearest JP Express office where your shipment was accepted. Please do this within 15 days from when we accepted your parcel. We can't consider any claims until all transportation charges are paid, and we won't be able to help with claims after this time. So, always make sure to check your parcels carefully before sending them.

 

 

JP Express International Export-Import Insurance Policy

4. Filing a Claim:

Air Waybill Terms and Conditions

1. Shipment Acceptance:

The issuance of an Air Waybill (AWB) signifies acceptance of the shipment by JP Express for air transportation. The customer is responsible for accurate and complete information on the AWB.

2. Packaging and Labeling:

Customers must ensure that all shipments are appropriately packed and labeled, adhering to international packaging standards. Any damage resulting from inadequate packaging is not covered by JP Express.

3. Prohibited Items:

Certain items are prohibited for air transportation due to safety and legal reasons. Customers must refer to the list of prohibited items provided by JP Express to ensure compliance.

4. Delivery Times:

While we strive for timely delivery, factors such as weather conditions and customs clearance may affect delivery times. JP Express will make reasonable efforts to meet delivery deadlines but cannot guarantee exact delivery times.

5. Tracking and Notifications:

Customers can track their shipments in real-time using the provided AWB number. Notifications regarding the status of the shipment will be sent at key milestones.

6. Liability for Loss or Damage:

JP Express is liable for loss or damage to the shipment during air transportation. Customers are encouraged to purchase additional insurance for high-value items.

7. Customs and Duties:

Customers are responsible for compliance with customs regulations and payment of any applicable duties and taxes. JP Express will provide necessary documentation for customs clearance.

8. Undeliverable Parcels:

In cases where delivery is not possible due to inaccurate address or other issues, JP Express will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer. If unsuccessful, the shipment may be returned to the sender.


Bill of Lading & Sea Waybill Terms and Conditions

1. Shipment Booking:

The issuance of a Bill of Lading (BOL) or Sea Waybill indicates acceptance of the shipment for sea transportation. Customers are required to provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking.

2. Cargo Loading and Stowage:

JP Express will handle the loading and stowage of cargo on the vessel. Customers must adhere to weight and size restrictions and provide accurate cargo details.

3. Prohibited Items:

Certain items are prohibited for sea transportation. Customers must refer to the list of prohibited items provided by JP Express to ensure compliance.

4. Delivery at Destination Port:

Upon arrival at the destination port, customers or their nominated consignees are responsible for clearing customs, paying duties, and arranging onward transportation. JP Express will provide the necessary shipping documents.

5. Tracking and Documentation:

Customers can track the status of their shipment using the provided BOL or Sea Waybill number. All relevant shipping documents will be provided in a timely manner.

6. Liability for Loss or Damage:

JP Express is liable for loss or damage to the shipment during sea transportation. Customers are encouraged to purchase additional insurance for high-value items.

7. Customs and Duties:

Customers are responsible for compliance with customs regulations at both the origin and destination ports. Any applicable duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

8. Undeliverable Shipments:

In cases where delivery is not possible at the destination port, JP Express will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer or their nominated consignee. If unsuccessful, the shipment may be subject to storage charges or returned to the sender.


Customs Clearance Terms and Conditions

Documentation Accuracy:

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete documentation for customs clearance. Incorrect or incomplete information may lead to delays or additional charges.

Compliance with Customs Regulations:

Customers must comply with the customs regulations of both the origin and destination countries. Any fines or penalties incurred due to non-compliance will be the responsibility of the customer.

Customs Duties and Taxes:

Customers are responsible for the payment of any customs duties, taxes, or fees associated with their shipments. JP Express will provide necessary documentation to assist with customs clearance.

Prohibited and Restricted Items:

Customers must adhere to the list of prohibited and restricted items provided by JP Express. Failure to comply may result in confiscation, additional charges, or legal consequences.

Customs Inspection:

Shipments may be subject to customs inspection. JP Express is not responsible for any delays or damages resulting from customs inspections.

Customers may be liable for additional charges incurred during customs clearance, including storage fees, demurrage charges, or other fees imposed by customs authorities.

JP Express disclaims liability for any actions taken by customs authorities, including confiscation, seizure, or refusal of entry of shipments. Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with customs regulations.

Non-Delivery due to Customs Issues:

If a shipment is undeliverable due to customs issues, the customer will be notified, and additional instructions or documentation may be required for resolution.

Refused Shipments:

Customers are responsible for any costs associated with refused shipments, including return shipping fees, customs charges, and handling fees imposed by JP Express.

Dispute Resolution:

In the event of customs-related disputes, customers agree to cooperate in resolving issues with JP Express. Any legal action arising from customs matters will be subject to the jurisdiction specified in the general terms and conditions.
